Paul in Harvard Bib

While I drew many images of Nicole isolated in our apartment in Paris, I barely had time to draw Paul when we returned to Boulder, Colorado.  Yet my first try at it was Paul in His Harvard Bib (his father, Jacques Barchilon's alma mater). The mother/artist conundrum was playfully addressed as I wrote on the drawing: "This is Paul Emile, 2 & 1/2 months old in his Harvard Bib waiting to be fed by his mother who is drawing him instead  February, 1966" Oil pastel, 25" x 20", 1966
